Nagar Valley Dreamland On Earth

The Nagar valley is situated at an altitude of 2438 meters (7999 feet). Nagar Khas is the main city and capital of the former state Nagar. The Spantik peak (Golden peak) can be easily seen from here. Gulmet is the popular tourist attraction in Nagar because of the spectacular scenery of the surrounding mountains and Rakaposhi in 7788 m (25,561), and Diran.

Nagar and Hunza were once collectively called the office hall and their capital was capal dosuk. Nagar was an independent principality for 1200 years, which existed until 1974. The British gained control of Nagar and Hunza valley between the neighboring 1889 and 1892. The Tham (Chief) of the day Azur Khan sent into exile to Kashmir. The British retained Nagar's status as a principality until 1947. The people of Nagar were governed by a local Mir for more than 1200 years, which ended in 1974. Although never directly controlled by neighboring Kashmir or the British, Nagar was a vassal of Kashmir from the time of Maharaja Ranbir Singh of Jammu and Kashmir. The Mirs of Nagar sent an annual tribute to the Kashmir Durbar until 1947, and together with the ruler of Hunza, was considered one of the most loyal vassals of the Maharaja of Kashmir. The state bordered the Gilgit Agency to the south, the former principality of Hunza in the east, China in the north and Afghanistan in the northwest. The capital was the city of Nagar Khas (also known as uyum Nagar) The area of ​​Nagar is now a top Nagar Nagar Nagar and two lower. Tehsil Nagar and two forms of the Gilgit District.

Northern areas of Pakistan Heaven on Earth

Northern areas of Pakistan, spread over 72,496 square km are as fascinating as the southern region. Midst towering snowcapped peaks with heights varying from 1,000 meters to 8,000 meters, the regions Gilgit, Hunza, Baltistan and Shangri-La. The cultural patterns in these regions are as interesting as its natural features. The people with typical costumes, folk dances, music and sports like polo and buzkashi, gives the traveler an unforgettable experience.

Out of 14 over 8,000 meters high peaks on earth, 4 records an amphitheater at the head of Baltoro glacier in the Karakoram range in northern Pakistan. These are, K-2 or Mount Godowin Austin (8611 m, world second highest), Gash BRUM-I (8,068 m), Broad Peak (8047 m) and Gasherbrum II (8,035 m).

There is another which is equally great, Nanga Parbat (8,126 m), located in the western most end of the Himalayas. Beyond these mountains, there are 68 peaks over 7,000 meters and hundreds of others over 6,000 meters.

 
The Northern Pakistan has some of the longest glaciers outside Polar region; Siachen (72 km), Biafo (60 km) and Batura Baltoro (60 km), Hispar (61 km), (64 km).

Swat Valley Heaven on earth  .

The lush-green valley of Swat, with its rushing rivers, glacial lakes, fruit-laden orchards and flower-decked slopes is ideal for tourists intent on relaxation. It has a rich historical past, too.

This is "Udayana" (the "Garden") by the ancient Hindu epic "country enthralling beauty" where Alexander of Macedonia fought and won some of his major battles before crossing over to the plains of Pakistan. This is the "valley of hanging chains" described by the famous Chinese pilgrim-chroniclers, Huain Tsang and Fa-Hian in the fifth and sixth centuries.

Swat was once the cradle of Buddhism in all its schools-Little Vehicle, fabulous food and the Esoteric sects where once 1,400 monasteries flourished. It was home to the famous Gandhara School of Sculpture which was an expression of the Graeco-Roman form in the local Buddhist tradition.

Hunza Nagar Valley Gilgit :

At an altitude of 1,454 meters lies the Gilgit Valley. The picturesque little town of Gilgit has spectacular scenic beauty. The peak tourist season is from May to mid-October though the tourist season is round the year. The maximum temperature in May is 33 C and minimum 16 C. In September, maximum 28 C and minimum 11C.

The visitors to Hunza are overwhelmed by the rugged charm, the fragrant breeze signing through graceful poplar trees and velvety green carpet of wheat fields against the backdrop of snowcapped mountains. Situated at an altitude of 2,438 meters, Hunza Valley's tourist season is from May to October. The temperature in May is maximum 27 C and minimum 14 C. The October temperatures are: maximum 10 C and minimum 0 C.

Karimabad, the capital of Hunza, offers an awe-inspiring views of Rakaposhi Peak (7,788 meters). The snow Rakaposhi glitter in the moonlight, producing an atmosphere at once ethereal and sublime. The fairytale-like castle Baltit forward Karimabad, Hunza is a landmark built abut 600 years ago. Stilted on massive legs, its wooden bay windows look out over the valley. Hunza is ideal for mountaineering, trekking and hiking.

The Nagar Valley is seventh district of Gilgit-Baltistan Located in Northern area of Pakistan. The district comprises Hunza and Nagar.The valley is situated at an height of 2,438m (7,999 feet). The climate of Nagar remains pleasant from mid-April to the end of September. The maximum temperature in summer during the day is 13°C. The weather becomes very cold during the winter, mainly from November to end of March. The minimum temperature can be -14°C.  

Nagar division is started form Chalat Nagar. Next valley is called Chaproot. In north a small valley is in between two rocks is called Budalas. On south right side Skandarabad valley. Next valley is Nilt. Next is Thool and Ghulmat is the popular tourist attraction in Nagar. Next valleys are Pisun Nagar, Minapin Nagar, Miacher Nagar, Dadimal Nagar and Phekar Nagar .Aliabad is beside of Sumayar Nagar valley and next is Karimabad. In these valleys most of people are spoken Burushaski and Shina, Next is called Asqurdas Nagar and Next valley is called Somayar Nagar. Next Valleys are Nagar (Khas) and hopper and Hisper. Hispar Pass & Delicious Glacier.

Hispar Pass - The crossing point between  Hunza valley and Baltistan is the Hispar pass which is at the elevation of 5151 meters from the top looking back gives a feeling of vast snowy space without a hint of vegetation. Coiling out from snow lake smooth glaciers writhe between nameless and unclimbed peaks the highest peak due east is the Baintha Brak 7285 meters high. In the west the Hispar glacier forceful and snow covered stretches down as far as the eye can see, Separating the Hispar Muztag range on the right from the Rakaposhi and Balchish range.

Defiying Time... the Baltit Fort. Eleventh-century Baltit Fort, hanging 2,800 m up the Himalayan peaks, was built to resist time, enemies and frequent earthquakes. Until 1950, the fort was the residence of the Mirs of Hunza, but was then left to go to ruin. Its recent restoration, proposed by the Aga Khan Trust, has carefully respected the original building techniques. Though rainfall is rare in the Hunza Valley, it is irrigated by an ingenious earliest system of canals fed by glaciers

Hunza is the northernmost part of a region known as the Northern Areas of Pakistan. It is a real life green heaven on earth.
For many centuries it has provided the quickest access to Swat and Gandhara (in modern north Pakistan) for a person on foot. The route was impassible to baggage animals, only human porters could get through, and then only with permission from the locals.

Traveling up the valley from the south, Hunza is the land to the the left, and Nagar to the right of the river. They traditionally have been separate principalities.

From hunza there are spectacular views of the beautiful and wonderful 7,788m (25,551 ft) Rakaposhi.

The famous Karakoram Highway crosses Hunza, connecting Pakistan to China via the Khunjerab Pass.

Hunza has three parts, not divided administratively but ethnically: Gojal, mainly populated with Wakhi speakers; Central, with Brushaski speaking people and Shinaki, the Shina speaking people. Brushaski is understood throughout Hunza.

Until 1974 Hunza was a princely state with its capital situated at Baltit (also known as Karimabad). It is now lined directly from Islamabad through the administration based in Gilgit, the regional capital of Gilgit-Baltistan.

Hunza was an independent principality for 900 years. There is a common missbelief that Hunza was under the rule of Maharajas of Kashmir, but it never was. The British failed to expand control over Hunza and the neighbouring valley of Nagar until 1889.

Altit Fort Hunza Nagar.

Altit Fort is located in the village of Altit about three kilometers from Karimbabd. It has been built on a sheer rock cliff that falls 300 meters (1,000 feet) into the Indus River. The fort is a 100 years older than the Baltit Fort and weas at one time settled by the ruling family.
Today there is a museum built inside the Fort for the traveler. A trip to the Baltit & Altit is must while your tour to Hunza Valley.

Hunza Nagar Haven in Pakistan

Hanza, also called Baltit, city in the northwestern Pakistani-administered Jammu and Kashmir state, in the northern part of the Indian subcontinent. Formerly a small principality under the Mir of Hunza, it ended with Pakistan in 1947. The town, situated on the western bank of the Hunza River, was a resting place for travelers descending from the Hindu Kush mountains in the Vale of Kashmir. Surrounded by snowcapped peaks Rakaposhi, huge glaciers like Ulter and deep gorges, Hunza is accessible by mountain road from Gilgit. Roses, pansies, lilies, Zinnia and cosmos grow wild in the area, making willow, spruce and poplar trees. Snow Leopard, markhor (a goat), ibex, yak, red-striped fox, ducks, and Marco Polo sheep is found. The local residents use irrigation to grow crops of rice, corn (maize), fruit and vegetables.

Hunza Valley is a mountainous valley near Gilgit in the northern areas of Pakistan. It lies at an altitude of 2,438 meters (7,999 feet). The territory of Hunza is about 7.900 km ² [3,050 sq, miles]. Karimabad is the biggest city, which is a popular tourist destination in Pakistan because of the spectacular scenery of the surrounding mountains as Rakaposhi 7,788 m (25,551 ft), Ultar Sar (7,388 m), Bojahagur Duanasir II (7,329 m), Ghenta Peak (7,090 m), Hunza Peak (6,270 m), Darmyani Peak (6,090 m) and Bublimating (Lady Finger Peak) (6,000 m).

Pakistan's Most Beautiful Places

The Northern Areas of Pakistan lying under the great mountain ranges of Himalaya –Karakorum –Hindu Kush –Hindu Raj and Pamir, surrounded by high peaks of 6500 m to 8600 meters.
Administratively divided with five districts, which runs by DC,s and the concern authority. Controlled from Gilgit by Chief Secretary. The chef secretary controlled by Federal Government Islamabad.
Gilgit the capital of Northern Areas has been inhabited for thousands of years, the various invaders, reached in the South, reached here. The animism of early inhabitants was over laid by fair worship, brought from in Iran. Which was modified by the Indo Aryans in 1700 BC.

From the 1st century Gilgit was like Kashgar, the trade center from all places as its now. From 4th century to 11th century AD, It was under Buddhism influence of Sogdiana dynasty, Kushans Hindu Shahis and later Islam introduce in this area. Gilgit situated at an important point, Central Asia-China.
Northern area is associated with air and road with other cities in Pakistan including Islamabad Capital. There are daily flights to Skardu and Gilgit, which is subject to weather. It is linked with Karakorum highway through the Indus Valley. 620 km to Gilgit and 832 miles to Skardu. It is a two days drive to reach Gilgit & Skardu.
Northern areas are fairy land, which covers thousands of Squire Kilometers if high snow-capped mountain, surrounded by lashed green valleys, rivers, Glaciers-High meadows, high passes-Pine Dev Dar Forest, Juniper trees, Cultivated fields, orchards offering spectacular panoramic views of natural disaster . Hunza & Nagar Valley:  

Today Hunza & Nagar are  in progress in education agriculture, orchard, business small industries automobile, wooden work, building construction banking, women development programs, Health programs, Health units as well as first aid posts in every villages, Embroidery, Handicrafts, carpet industries, Mining precious stones etc.
The actual changes started after 1978, when the Karakorum highway opened between China & Pakistan. Again a trade route between Islamabad & Sinking province, the rapid changes happed in the Northern Area of Pakistan. People came into border business with China. The Aga Khan Network with collaboration of Government of Pakistan, their joint efforts brought fruitful result to life of people of Hunza.
There are self-help schools in every second village in the valley and all children male and female attend schools 100 percent, this is the reason, why Hunza Nagar people are different from other valleys in North of Pakistan.
The Tourism started in Pakistan in the 1980,s. The flow of tourism was in Hunza Nagar valley, till now, which brought the economic revaluation. Hunza Nagar has been a tourist destination from a long time.

Skardu or Baltistan Valley:

The increase in the Indus stretching down to Baltistan valley from Tibet to Gilgit and down to the Arabian Sea, which cuts the Indian subcontinent from Asia, Baltistan valley called a little Tibet in the north of Pakistan.
Baltistan is situated at the end of the Himalayas since Deosai Plain and Satpara Lake. Baltistan tourist destination Mountains paradise where the world 2: a highest peak is K-2 (8611M) and the other 8000m are broad Peak Gasherbrum I & II, probably 8068 to 8047m and there are many peaks 7750 - 7800m. Its snow-capped peaks, glaciers and Long gives you great views of climbers, hikers and travelers.

Shigar Valley:

The Shigar valley that has a long distance for K-2 base camp on Baltoro Glacier, to Concordia place among the high mountains. The inhabitants of Shigar are the decedents of Kirgis, who migrated from China in the region of Yarkand, when it was possible to travel from Baltistan to the North of China as a Karavan via Sinkiang and Kashmir as a trade route.

Hushe Valley:

A valley the Kings of valleys are situated at the east of Skardu in the foot of Masherbrum Mountains which leads to Ghandogoro La to K-2 Base Camp and the great walls.

Northern Areas Of Pakistan

OF the powerful parts of the Karakoram in the north to the vast alluvial delta of the Indus River in the South, Pakistan remains a land of high adventure and nature. Hiking, mountain climbing, rafting, wild boar hunting, mountain and desert jeep safari.

Tourism is a growing industry in Pakistan, based on its diverse cultures, peoples and landscapes. The variety of attractions ranging from the ruins of ancient civilizations such as Mohenjo-daro, Harappa and Taxila, to the Himalayan hill stations, which those interested in the field and to attract winter sports. Pakistan is home to a number of peaks over 7000m, which attracts adventurers and mountaineers from around the world, especially K2. The northern parts of Pakistan have many old fortresses, towers and other architecture as well as the Hunza and Chitral valleys, the last home of the small pre-Islamic Animist Kalasha community descent demands of the army of Alexander the Great. The Punjab is the site of the Battle of Alexander at the Jhelum River and the historic city Lahore, Pakistan's cultural capital with many examples of Mughal architecture such as the Badshahi Masjid, Shalimar Gardens, Tomb of Jahangir and the Lahore Fort.

Pakistan features some of the earliest human settlements, is home to an ancient civilization rivaling those of Egypt and Mesopotamia, the crucible of two of the major religions of the world, Hinduism and Buddhism. It is much more incredible and includes some of Asia's most stunning landscapes, SDRs, a multitude of cultures and a long tradition of hospitality.

 Of the powerful parts of the Karakoram in the north to the vast alluvial delta of the Indus River in the South, Pakistan remains a land of high adventure and nature. Ten of 18 mammalian orders are represented in Pakistan with species ranging from the world's smallest surviving mammals, the Mediterranean Pigmy Shrew, the largest mammal ever known, the blue whale.

 Many tourists visit Pakistan year round. Pakistan's historical sites and natural beauty attract the foreigners the art of making the most out of life.
