Karachi

Karachi, the capital of Sindh province, the capital of Pakistan until it was replaced in 1959 by Rawalpindi. The hub of a vast metropolitan area, Karachi is Pakistan's largest city and its chief transportation, financial, commercial and Manufacturing Center. It is a bustling center of commerce and industry with an important port on the Arabian Sea and an international airport which is an important link on all east and west routes. Karachi recorded history goes back to the 18th century when it was a small fishing village known as Karachi-jo-Goth.
